Stewed Tomatoes made with fresh garden ingredients.


15 tomatoes – tops cut off and sliced into chunks
1 vidalia onion chopped
2 tablespoons minced garlic
1 cup chopped sweet basil
1/2 cup chopped oregano
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper


Melt butter over medium heat. Add in onions. Cook until soft and lightly browned. Add in chunks of tomatoes. The add basil, oregano, garlic, salt & pepper. Stir well. Simmer for 30 minutes stirring occasionally.

Then share with all your human friends. Great with garlic bread or served over rice.
