Cherry Lemonade Slushy

No Sugar Added – Low Calorie

I would like to start by saying that I found this recipe in a “Hungry Girl” cookbook. The only thing I changed was the amount of ice because I felt 2/3 cup of ice was not enough to give it that slushy texture. This recipe makes 1 serving.
It has 65 calories, 15g carbs, 12g sugars. The sugar is from the cherries. There is no added sugar in this recipe. It is a delicious slushy.

Ingredients

1 serving packet of sugar-free powdered drink mix (I used Crystal Light)
2/3 cup frozen pitted dark sweet cherries (my cherries were not completely frozen and that may be why I needed 1 cup of ice. The original recipe calls for 2/3 cup ice.)
1 cup crushed ice

Directions

Dissolve drink mix into 1 cup of cold water.
Pour into blender.
Add cherries and ice.
Blend until mixed. Texture should be icy like a slushy.
If not icy enough add a little more ice and blend again.
